The City of Sacramento requires all newly appointed employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.

To plan, assign, coordinate, and supervise work for all shifts; to participate in a variety of custodial setup and maintenance work at the Convention Center Complex; and to provide administrative and technical staff assistance.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
A Supervising Community Center Attendant is distinguished from a Community Center Attendant in that the former is responsible for assigning work for and ensuring completion of administrative paperwork for all shifts, and exercising independent judgment and initiative in planning and coordinating the work of several crews.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
General supervision is provided by higher-level management personnel. Assignments include direct supervision of Community Center Attendants and lower level staff.

Four years of experience performing custodial and maintenance work within a building including a minimum of two years performing supervisory level duties.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Driver License:
Possession of a valid California Class C Driver License at the time of appointment. Loss of the Class C License is cause for discipline. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to physical disability will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

2. Screening Committee: (Pass/Fail)– Human Resources will evaluate employment applications for the minimum qualifications stated on the job announcement.
3. Screening For Most Qualified: (Pass/Fail) – In addition to the City of Sacramento employment application, all applicants must complete and submit online responses to the supplemental questionnaire to the City of Sacramento Employment Office by the final filing deadline. In the event of a large candidate pool, the responses to the supplemental questionnaire and/or work experience will be evaluated and rated. Only those candidates determined to be the most qualified will proceed to the next step in the selection process.
Responses to the supplemental questionnaire must be submitted online; a paper questionnaire will not be accepted.
Incomplete supplemental questionnaire will not pass the review process; omitted information cannot be considered or assumed.
A resume will not substitute for the information required in the supplemental questionnaire.
4. Oral Examination: (Weighted 100%) – The oral exam will be conducted using a one-way video format. Qualified candidates will receive a notification via email when the examination is available. Candidates will have approximately 7 calendar days from the date of notification to complete the oral examination. Only one attempt per question will be permitted. The oral examination will be job related and may include, but is not limited to, the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above. PLEASE BE ADVISED THIS IS NOT A HIRING INTERVIEW.
5. Eligibility: Candidates who pass the oral examination will be placed on the eligible list. The hiring department may contact candidates for interview at any time during the life of the one-year list.
6. Conditional Hire: Upon receipt of a conditional offer, the selected candidate must complete and pass LiveScan/fingerprinting; and provide proof of receiving a complete COVID-19 vaccination. If applicable, candidates may also need to pass a pre-employment medical exam, controlled substance and/or alcohol test, and possess any required licensure or certification prior to receiving a start date from the Department. Failure to meet these prerequisites will be grounds for withdrawal of your conditional offer of employment.
