The Civilian Evidence Technician performs regular responsible skilled work to administer custodial control, security and maintenance of physical evidence and found property in the possession of the Lexington Police Department, and intermittent responsible technical work to include the preservation, collection, and processing of evidence from secured crime scenes. Work performed under regular supervision of a Police Sergeant. Check out the great benefits the City has to offer.
Requires comprehensive background investigation prior to appointment.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED;
• Division of Criminal Information Certification within six months (renewal required every two years);
• National Incident Management System Training completion within six months; and
• Driver’s license valid in NC and good driving record.
Work Schedule
Flexible between 7:00am – 10:00pm. Paid bi-weekly.
