Title: EBI Database Developer II
Worksite: Cleveland Clinic, 1950 Richmond Road, Lyndhurst, OH 44124 – Telecommuting permitted
Duties: The EBI Database Developer II at Cleveland Clinic’s campus in Lyndhurst, Ohio (1950 Richmond Road, Lyndhurst, OH 44124) assists and supports the overall database needs of the Clinic. He or she will work to support the creation of various analytics and .NET applications through the use of databases such as MS SQL and Teradata, and develops, maintains, and enhances databases and applications for internal purposes and customer reporting. The EBI Database Developer II works in a team of database developers, software developers and business analysts responsible for delivery of database analytics and web based applications. Additional duties of the EBI Database Developer II include the following: administering existing databases and the analysis, design, and creation of new databases; performing data modeling, database optimization, understanding and implementing of schemas; interpreting and writing complex code; proactively monitoring systems for optimum performance and capacity constraints. He or she also designs, implements and supports ETL processes; establishes database development standards, documentation and best practices; handles multiple projects while supporting existing production databases and processes; performs support, development and administrative activities; and, provides on-call duty as required to support department applications. Telecommuting permitted.
Requirements: At a minimum, position requires: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or foreign equivalent as determined by credentials evaluation and three (3) years of experience in database development (MS SQL or Teradata), C#, or ASP.net. Experience must include: programming with an emphasis on coding that scales well and is optimized for use in a high volume environment; and the physical and logical design of database architecture. Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or foreign equivalent as determined by credentials evaluation to offset two (2) years of the stated experience requirement.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience ($97,390.39 per year)
