The Role:

The Accounting Team is looking for a Cost Accountant to…

Work with the Bakery management team to understand and maintain cost drivers, understand operational performance, and explain variances to planned manufacturing costs.

Primary Responsibilities

· Ensure personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols are followed.

· Oversee manufacturing work order processing.

· Perform manufacturing and variance accounting processes.

· Provide analysis of COGS.

· Provide analysis of raw materials, WIP, and Finished Goods.

· Product Costing:

o Develop and maintain system standard costs

o Explain standard cost variances

o Provide actual cost calculations and scenario modeling

o Assist in product cost budgeting

· Develop, prepare, and communicate management reports related to operational performance.

· Assist in budgeting and forecasting

· Assist in financial report preparation, review, and analysis

· Assist in balance sheet reconciliations

· Assist in financial year end audits

· Assist in fixed asset accounting

· Assist in developing and maintaining Accounting internal controls.

· Provide Ad-Hoc analysis as required.

· Other projects as assigned by Regional Controller.

· Perform all other duties as requested.

Technical Expertise Required

· Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook calendar and email management, and written and oral communication skills.

· Knowledge of JDE Enterprise One or comparable ERP software is also required.

· Ability to manipulate large volumes of data to provide summarized analysis.

Education/Training Required

· Minimum of 4 year B.S. degree in Accounting/Finance or related field preferred.

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in cost accounting or related experience.
