YOUR ROLE
Responsible for the execution and performance of the ground operations within North America to ensure consistent quality service and customer satisfaction, profitable, cost-efficient operations, and compliance with company policies and procedures, ISO standards and Sarbanes Oxley requirements, and other regulatory guidelines. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Plan and implement appropriate resources (staffing, training, equipment, and systems) for the satisfactory achievement of corporate and regional goals.
Provide the regions within North America with daily guidance, leadership and overall support on any issues relating to operations, communication, revenue enhancement, standardizing procedures, systems applications, and executing processes to meet customer needs.
Work directly with the regional and / or station management in establishing regional and / or local goals within the parameters of the North American Ground Business Plan.
Develop and execute policies, plans, and programs to meet anticipated organization needs in the areas of functional responsibility.
Provide leadership, assistance, and product training to Regional Managers in order to meet company and regional goals.
Review and evaluate regional P&L performance and establish short term goals to address any budgetary shortfalls.
Develop customer relationships and ensure that customer service and operational levels within North America are being maintained.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum ten years related experience.
Minimum seven years supervisory or managerial experience required.
Minimum seven years industry experience, preferred.
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
Experienced in the utilization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transport Management Systems (TMS)
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
Characteristics:
Ability to analyze complex problems and develop appropriate solutions.
