Job Summary: Responsible for assisting with day-to-day Human Resources functions and duties, by providing support to both the Human Resources Department and Management. This role will have a strong focus working as a liaison with Hiring Managers by screening applicants for potential new hires. Job duties may also include conducting phone interviews or scheduling in-person interviews with candidates who pass initial screening.
Job Duties:
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives and Management
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training)
- Provide customer service to applicants by answering questions about
- Apply candidate criteria such as experience level, education level, work history, criminal record, and other factors that may disqualify an applicant from being considered for a position
- Review applications for compliance with company requirements such as minimum educational requirements or work experience in certain fields
- Collect reference information from previous employers and colleagues on behalf of employers during the hiring process
- Conduct phone interviews with applicants to assess their qualifications and suitability for a position
- Screen applicants for employment positions that are available within the organization
- Interview applicants using scripted interview questions to gather information about their qualifications and experience
- Determine whether an applicant meets minimum qualifications and standards for hiring
- Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys, etc.)
- Assist with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Word, etc.)
- Exceptional level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience with Applicant Training Systems and Zoom
- Other basic computer skills as needed
- Human Resources or Administrative experience preferred
