Constellium Hiring for Plant HR Generalist at Canton, MI Full Time

Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to provide support and guidance on employee relations, recruitment, performance management, training, compliance and HR best practices to help facilitate a positive working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead recruiting efforts by providing support with screening applications, conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews, preparing/extending job offers, tracking candidates, setting up pre-employment screenings, etc.
• Facilitate new hire orientation by partnering with other departments to ensure new hires are receiving critical information.
• Manage employees system and building access
• Maintain and update employee files
• Assist employees with basic questions regarding payroll, benefits, schedules, policies, etc.
• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including but not limited to disciplinary actions, disputes and investigations, performance management, and training
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Assist in coordination of employee relations/engagement activities
• Conduct employee investigations and bring to resolution
• Provide advice to managers on daily employee relations and performance management issues
• Prepare and issue termination paperwork
• Support the business in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience
• Participate in educational opportunities to update professional knowledge
• Manage division programs for all three (3) facilities.
• Lead and develop the ASNA Intern Program

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in HR or related field OR 3 years of equivalent experience with High School Diploma or GED
• Current knowledge of employment laws
• HR experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and customer service skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience with SuccessFactors and ADP a plus
• Must be able to life up to 40 lbs
