DESCRIPTION OF WORK
You will provide secretarial services to managers and staff; greet the public by telephone and in person; disseminate park information, answers park-related questions, makes reservations, etc.; compose correspondence from general instructions; administers park’s DCNR Event Calendar and Facebook page; stamp and route incoming mail and weighs and stamps out-going mail; and maintain files in a complex electronic and physical filing system.
Duties also include operating radio base communications for general park employee contact, emergencies, etc.; serving as a point of contact and coordinator for the Campground Host Program; collecting revenue and issuing permits or receipts for Cottages, Yurts, Campground, Organized Group Tenting, Mooring, Launching, Pavilions, and Amphitheater; collecting and recording information for various park reports; and assisting Park Environmental Education Specialist with news releases, advertisements, program signup sheets, and arranges dates for park programs with upcoming guest speakers and school groups.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Seasonal employment.
Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday – Tuesday, with 30-minute lunch.
Holidays and weekend work required.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1; or
Graduation from high school; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
