Librarians are a pivotal part of the library customer experience and as such, conduct the library’s strategic plan initiatives and annual goals and objectives. Librarians create, implement and market programs and services for the public, develop effective community working relationships, provide literacy support through collection development and connect the customer with the information they seek. To accomplish this, they are proficient in organizing materials and information, communicating and working with others, and are able to analyze review sources, public input and statistical data to best serve the community. In addition, they have advanced knowledge and skill in using, troubleshooting, and training on computer hardware and software applications.
