Current Vacancy Information:
There is one (1) vacancy with the Department of Enterprise Services, Customer Services Division, located in Honolulu. This position administers a comprehensive program pertaining to the conduct of events and utilization of facilities under the jurisdiction of the Department of Enterprise Services; plans, coordinates and directs the reservation and sales, box office and productions activities; and performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public relations or a related field.

Work experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge, skills, and analytical ability normally gained from attainment of a bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Five (5) years of administrative experience in the management of large-scale facilities used for major entertainment, cultural and/or leisure-time events, two of which shall have included responsibility for sales and marketing, box-office ticket sales, and/or event production services.
Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of administration and organization; sales and marketing principles and techniques, particularly as they relate to the presentation of events; support services requirements and problems associated with the conduct of cultural, entertainment and leisure-time events; applicable laws and ordinances pertaining to public gatherings; public relations; and the ability to plan, coordinate and direct a comprehensive program pertaining to the conduct of events and utilization of facilities at an entertainment complex; evaluate and develop operating standards and policies; formulate and integrate objectives and goals; deal tactfully and effectively with promoters, concessionaires, medial personnel and the public; give clear and concise oral and written instructions; prepare and justify budget plans; prepare correspondence and reports.
