Part Time Human Resources Generalist needed to provide support to the administrative team in areas of recruitment, policy implementation, benefit coordination, unemployment and worker’s compensation claims as well as adherence to all CT DOL practices.
The ideal candidate for this position will have basic human resources knowledge, excellent organizational skills and be able to assess the skills and acumen of applicants while recruiting new employees as well as for existing employees.
Specific Duties Include:
· Oversight of hiring to include: internal and external posting of positions; review of applicants; interviewing and processing all pre-employment requirements; recommendations to administrative team for new hires; onboarding and orientation of new hires; consult with managers regarding performance counseling and issues; oversight of personnel records; overall management of the employee’s life cycle within the organization
· Coordination of benefits for fulltime employees to include: follow-up for enrollment, terminations and changes to employee plans; participation in the annual renewal process for insurances offered; COBRA management
· Oversight, filing and follow through of all unemployment claims and worker’s compensation claims
· Annual review of personnel manual and practices, updating as needed to remain in compliance with Connecticut laws, provide recommendations to administrative team for enhanced benefits
