As Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing, based out of our Bloomington MN office, you will collaborate with property management and sales teams at each hotel to maximize occupancy and revenues that meet and exceed established goals.
The qualified candidate will have a proven track record in sales and marketing with preference given to those with hotel sales and marketing experience. Multi-unit sales and marketing experience a plus.

Job Title: Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing
Department: Operations
Reports To: Director of Operations
SUMMARY
The Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for the direction and strategy in areas of overall account management, business generation, prospecting for the area sales team in the market. This position works with the hotel teams to achieve assigned revenue/room night goals as well as, being responsible for developing and maintaining key accounts in the markets. The position will develop and manage all stakeholder relationships, both internal and external and mentor, provide direction, and proactively develop the hotel sales teams with the General
Managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Marketing Plans supporting overall corporate sales plans/strategies and programs to achieve revenue goals that meet/exceeds management and owner revenue/profit goals and expectations.

Previous direct hospitality sales and marketing experience required. Multi-property sales and marketing oversight experience preferred and highly valued.
Past experience in working with brand sales teams, programs and initiatives.
Requires advance knowledge of the principles and practices within the sales/marketing/ hospitality profession. This includes working knowledge for management of people, complex problems, and efficient sales activities.
Requires decision-making within the standards of the position.
Requires studying, analyzing and interpreting complex activities or information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches.
Must possess highly developed communication skills to frequently negotiate, convince, sell and influence other team members and/or corporate clients.
Must understand the positioning of each hotel, services provided, and how each hotel can meet the needs of clients, and must be capable of closing business transactions.
Must understand the cost/benefits of prospective business and vendor contracts and negotiate contracts, which results in mutually beneficial outcomes.
Must understand the strategic positioning of each hotel and how the products and services offered compare within the competitive market for targeted market segments.
Must be able to prepare revenue forecasts based on business booked-to-date, current and historical booking pace, and impact of special promotions.
Must have the ability/past experience to develop and guide others in professional growth and performance enhancement through assuring clarity of goals, employing reflective listening skills, and facilitating the generation of options and action planning.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
Five years within the hotel sales discipline or equivalent and multi-unit oversight.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
English is a must and other languages are a plus.
TRAVEL
Local and overnight travel required. Overnight travel currently to be approximately 15%.
