Essential Functions

· Manage and direct daily financial operations

· Responsible for payroll

· Responsible for benefits management:

a. Employee health benefits: medical, dental, vision, life and LTD

b. Retirement plans

c. PTO

• Responsible for accounts payable
• Maintaining QuickBooks
• Create and ensure the accuracy of monthly financial reports
• Presenting monthly financials at monthly
• Investigating and implementing new systems or products for the practice and appointed clients

Other various tasks as requested by the owners.

The job holder must demonstrate current competencies applicable to the job position.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher

Experience: 3-5 years preferred

Certifications: CMPE preferred but not required

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of the financial operations of a medical practice
• Knowledge of billing practices and clinic policies and procedures
• Knowledge of accounts payable and QuickBooks
• Knowledge of benefits management
• Knowledge of practice key performance indicators

Skills:

• Skill in Word, Excel, billing and EMR Systems
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Abilities:

• Ability to be fair, consistent, and ethical in the performance of duties
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in developing, applying and interpreting practice policies and procedures
• Ability to embrace new technology and use it to streamline processes
• Ability to analyze billing data and make recommendations
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally in person and over the phone, and in writing through emails, letters, etc.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, employees, third party administrators and other members of the public.
• Ability to make oral presentations to clearly convey information and concepts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Environmental / Working Conditions:

• Normal office environment, work from home, and working out of client’s office
• Occasional evening or weekend work
• Occasional travel between multiple work locations

Physical / Mental Demands:

· Position is primarily sitting with occasional walking throughout each workday

· Manual dexterity for using a computer keyboard and mouse

· Ability to view computer screens continuously throughout workday

· Occasional stress related to work demands
