Prior GM restaurant management experience required in busy bar setting.
Position Summary:
The GM is responsible for daily operations of the restaurant and providing professional leadership and direction to all staff.
They should show a passion for the industry, unquestionable work ethic, proactive problem-solving skills, and a dynamic ability to motivate their team.
Presence on the floor and engaging guests is paramount to your success in this role.
This is a 50-60 hour a week position, which includes holidays and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Increase overall sales and profitability and exceed budgeted financial benchmarks.
Be an effective leader and role model for the restaurant group.
Communicate with owner and execute strategy.
Maintain a level of service and hospitality that proudly reflects establishment.
Hire hospitality-driven team members who reflect our brand; lead, train, and mentor them.
Follow all management systems and policies.
Specific Job Responsibilities and Tasks:
Oversee the FOH hourly employees and ensure all employees are working and meeting company standards, including but not limited to;
Assisting with hiring, scheduling and supervising non-exempt hourly staff.
Enforcing policies and procedures for the department and communicating with sales managers and operations manager.
Provide overall support and coverage for the restaurant at all times to ensure operational efficiency.
Maintain a strong floor presence with an emphasis on hospitality.
Mentor, train and onboard all new team members according to company procedures.
Maintain daily tracking of financial performance and create strategies based on these reports.
Ensure overall cleanliness and general housekeeping meets company standards.
Oversee food/beverage programs and work cooperatively with respective teams.
Promote and maintain a professional work environment in compliance with all HR guidelines.
Assist with implementation of marketing strategy as needed.
