Major Responsibilities:
Workforce Planning
Partner with Operations Leader, HR Leader, and customer groups for organization assessment and upgrading talent through strategic staffing and developing pipeline talent.
Partner with Operations and HR Leader to develop workforce plan.
Talent Acquisition
Support staffing and recruiting activities. Partner with staffing agencies and site leaders to ensure that staffing needs are met.
Conduct salaried and hourly recruiting.
Performance Management
Coach/mentor associates at all levels of the organization.
Support and lead processes for customer business groups such as performance ownership and compensation planning.
Ensure annual performance review process is effectively implemented and tracked.
Employee Relations
Proactively promote and maintain a positive work environment and drive total associate engagement.
Foster a culture of safety awareness.
Continuous Improvement
Add value to administrative process by recommending policy enhancements and streamlining procedures.
Initiate process improvements by analyzing current processes and recommending improvements to obtain greater efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
Develop and implement short/long term HR initiatives in support of the business’ strategic objectives.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness or related field. Master’s degree highly preferred.
3+ years HR business partner experience; preferably within a global industrial manufacturing environment.
Generalist background, with broad knowledge of recruitment, benefit and compensation administration, employee relations, legal compliance, safety, and training and development.
Previous Human Resources experience working with a union and contract negotiation experience preferred.
Demonstrated track record of partnering with leaders to develop and implement talent strategies that produce measurable outcomes and drive business results.
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to establish trust, credibility and rapport at all levels of the organization; seen as humble, direct, and authentic, while possessing leadership presence.
Proven ability to be hands on, demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative, results-orientation. Has a mindset of continuous improvement and can embrace 80/20 principles.
Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships and influence resources outside one’s direct responsibility.
SHRM certification a plus.
