Staff Accountant – Accounts Payable/Payroll

This is a Full-Time position and will report directly to our company’s Controller.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Review invoices for accuracy, match to PO’s, get approval and process in ERP daily

• Process manual invoices
• Understanding of Chart of Accounts for proper GL coding
• Reconcile POs received and not received
• Be familiar with Vendor product and services
• Understanding of payment terms /other charges
• Respond to Vendor inquiries
• Reconcile Vendor statements
• Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
• Run aging weekly to review invoices due for payment with Controller
• Process payments by credit card or check after approval from Controller
• Maintains, and reviews timekeeping and payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions

• Check payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is in order

• Maintain efficient and organized files and documentation in accordance to company policy and accepted accounting practices
• Responsible for employee onboarding and employee file management

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 4+ relevant work experience
• Attention to detail required
• ERP experience helpful
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Strong ability to problem solve
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and maintain a sense of urgency
• Positive attitude and ability to work and communicate well with team member

Job Types: Full-time,

Pay: $21.00 – $27.50 per hour
