Job Description Direction and supervision of the Plant Distribution Supervisors, Material Administrators, and Material Handlers to assure adherence to material distribution, inventory accuracy, quality, delivery, cost, and safety requirements including all aspects of automated warehouse systems. Scope includes all materials and support groups.
- Responsible for the direction and supervision of the Plant Distribution Supervisors, Material Administrators and Material Handlers to assure adherence to material distribution, inventory accuracy, quality, and safety.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, transfer, and discipline of employees to assure fairness, conformity of application of company rules and regulations, and a unified and cohesive personnel policy application.
- Ensure that all employees are properly trained and cross-trained on material handling equipment, safety procedures, quality, warehouse, and inventory control functions.
- Review schedules and organize the workforce through the Plant Distribution Supervisors and Material Administrators in inventory control and accuracy, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Management and oversight of automated warehousing systems, including assisting with automation engineer for maintenance downtime and upgrades.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement activities, maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Manage support functions to include the pickup of waste containers, coordinate ordering and delivery of corrugated and packaging supplies and customer returnable containers. Set priorities for related activities to support production
- Ensure coordination and communication between Automation Engineer, PPM and technical support for automated warehouse systems.
