The Human Resources Coordinator will support a fast-paced HR department with day-to-day operations which will also include delivering general HR support, benefits, and payroll while also fielding employee and union-related queries. This position will report to the Sr. HR Operations manager, work closely with all HR team members, and support approximately 200 union and non-union employees at three additional plants.
Description:
Serve as the dedicated HR Coordinator for multiple US manufacturing sites
Support the HR team with fielding and responding to a variety of team member and union- related inquiries ranging from benefits, payroll, HR policies, and general HR queries.
Assist with data entry and reporting using Workday.
Process background checks and employment verifications.
Support HR team with ad hoc projects to include I-9 compliance, data integrity and HR reporting and data analysis.
Assist with the coordination of employee recognition programs and service awards.
Stay current with local, state, and federal laws, rules, regulations and statutes governing equal employment opportunity practices
Assist with the coordination, scheduling, and tracking of candidate interviews.
Conduct orientation for new hires.
Manage labor poster compliance program.
Clerical duties, HR filing, mailing, etc.
Process monthly billings to include invoices and reconciliation.
Assist with benefit enrollment and other benefit related qualifying event changes.
Reporting and analysis
Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
– 2+ years of experience in a Human Resources role.
– Knowledge of Workday HRIS is strongly preferred.
– Must be proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
– Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, including OSHA compliance.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
– Multi-state experience a huge plus.
