The Regional Operations Manager will develop a vision by leading and directing the day-to-day operations. Responsible for the productivity and providing leadership and training in the operational areas. The incumbent will work closely with other functional areas of the business to implement Lean Manufacturing techniques. This position will oversee all Lean Initiatives and give the support and guidance necessary to all manufacturing employees to assure success. Up to 50% travel.
The job responsibilities listed below are not all inclusive but are a good representation of the position.
· Responsible for the safe operation of multiple facilities and the safety of Cook Compression employees
· Responsible for complying with all Federal, State, and Local labor laws, environmental regulations, OSHA compliance and City ordinances
· Responsible for promoting and training the operation’s employees in TPS principles for continuous improvement within the shop environment. Implementing best practices and improvements that have been identified by Cook Compression’s employees and management
· Responsible for Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Customer Service and Manufacturing Engineering; all relating to the operation of multiple facilities.
· Product engineering will have a dotted line reporting to this position as it relates to this operation.
· Responsible in a team environment, to develop, implement and maintain manufacturing methods and processes.
o investigates, develop and evaluate new manufacturing methods, processes and techniques.
o application of TPS Lean principles to optimize on-time delivery, Lead-time reduction, set up time reduction, quick change over and improve work process flow
o utilization of statistical and process visual measurements to manage the operation and deliver customer satisfaction and world class quality
o identifies and implement methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste
o co-ordinate and support quality assurance and engineering initiatives and programs
· Assists the VP of Manufacturing in developing & executing an accurate manning, operating expense, and capital expenditure budgets
· Responsible for developing capital equipment requirements and justifications
· Work with VP of Manufacturing to make operational adjustments as necessary by reviewing the P&L Statements, Sales Reports, and daily reports to insure continued growth in productivity/efficiency
· Is responsible for routine purchases of supplies, tooling, and material
· Is responsible for safety performance, productivity performance, delivery performance and production quality
· The ability to understand financial information
· The ability to communicate with customers, supervisors, employees, and executive management
· The ability to promote Cook Compression, including knowledge of our company policies and benefits
· The ability to promote a positive atmosphere and encourage teamwork in the workplace, strong communication skills and the ability to develop employees
· The ability to work effectively in a matrix organizational structure

· This position has the responsibility to coordinate resources to satisfy both internal and external customers; to deliver superior products and quality service in a fast-paced environment that meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations
· Evaluating the resource needs of the operation
· Hiring, promoting, and/or addressing the performance of the employees
· Setting plant policies and procedures in line with company directives, policies, and procedures.
Educational, Physical and Personal Requirements
Qualifications for a Regional Operations Manager role includes:
· BA or BS in Engineering, Management, Business or related field, or an equivalent in years of experience supervising manufacturing operations
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPS, 5 S, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Theory of Constraints, Kaizen
Must:
· Have 7+ years management experience, of shop personnel and office support personnel
· Possess excellent computer skills; be proficient in all Microsoft Office Products
· Able to prepare PowerPoint presentations to all levels of management
· Be able to travel
· Pass a drug test
· Work and communicate effectively with other facility managers and department managers with regards to their duties and responsibilities.
