Talent and Culture Coordinator (HR)
This is a non-management supporting role, assisting multiple department leaders.

SUMMARY: Helps establish and maintain the culture of the Barfield. Duties include training, recruiting, guest interactions, employee on-boarding plus quality assurance & guest satisfaction champion. Lead the human resource activities by directing, monitoring, and finalizing tasks brought forth by corporate leadership, staff, or management. In addition, drive operating process improvement through monitoring, assisting, and cooperating with operational leadership and staff. Assist the Hotel Manager with guest and staff satisfaction scores; ensuring scores meet or exceed established yearly goals. In addition, assist the Hotel Manager with passing Marriott’s yearly Quality Assurance audit. This is a non-management supporting role, assisting multiple department leaders.
JOB DUTIES:
Human Resources Duties
· Assist department heads with new hire paperwork, scan and send to Corporate Director of Human Resources in a timely manner.
· Assist employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures.
· Assist with orientation of new employees.
· Monitor all hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies and standards.
· Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files (e.g., interview documents, I-9’s).
· Support processing and maintenance of payroll records in accordance with policies and procedures, as necessary.
· Ongoing training to standards set by Coury Hospitality and Marriott
· Inform GM of issues related to employee relations within the division or property.
· Serve as Human Resources subject matter expert and participate on project teams.
· Train new hires on Human Resources processes, programs, policies, information systems, etc.
· Assist Corporate Director of HR when on property for New Hire Orientation, Benefits enrollment and 401(k) meetings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· This position will have access to confidential information, and it is imperative that he/she always maintain confidentiality.
· Polished and professional appearance and demeanor in person, online and via phone. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
· Ability to provide customer service that is above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.

· Excellent presentation skills – high energy personality
· Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; comfortable with learning new software and systems.
· Highly honed organization skills and strong attention to detail.
· Ability to handle stressful situations and deadlines.
· Bilingual and luxury hotel experience a plus but not required.
· 2 years of experience in operations, human resource, or related professional area, or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration or Hotel and Restaurant Management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
