Purpose/Introduction
Chevron Phillips Chemical is currently seeking a HR Business Partner to join our team at our Sweeny, Clemens, and Old Ocean facility in Sweeny, Texas. Responsibilities of the open position includes full-scale HR Generalist support. The selected candidate will report to the local HR Manager and will be involved in the development and implementation of strategic HR programs in partnership with the facility leadership and corporate HR teams.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will play a role in key HR initiatives including employee relations, workforce planning, recruiting/staffing, organizational development, talent/performance management, diversity, equity & inclusion, compensation, regulatory compliance, employee communications, and other projects/duties as assigned. At times, the successful candidate may have the delegation of the HR Manager.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration or related field.
At least 8 years of professional HR experience, with a concentration of the experience in the HR Business Partner or HR Generalist arena.
Demonstrated ability to work in and manage ambiguity – dealing with issues that do not always have a process or a system in place with the capability to help define the process.
Ability to interact with and present information to all levels of employees in the organization including senior leaders.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically related to HR business plan implementation.
Demonstrated ability to manage the design and implementation of HR programs and services, including experience in leading cross-functional project teams.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and including ability to create presentations appropriate for use with senior leaders.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to utilize data to drive decision making.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a manufacturing and/or operations environment.
Ability to relocate to other CPChem facilities in the future.
Experience with SuccessFactors.
Experience with an HR digital transformation project or organization.
