The deputy logistics manager is a management role, responsible for coordinating and managing the program supply chain, materials, storage, warehousing of over 225,000 boxes as well as inbound and outbound shipments for the facility. The deputy logistics manager is responsible for scheduling shipments with the logistics manager for the program, with multiple scan vendors, with suppliers and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure the success of our customer?s mission. You will liaise between the logistics, program manager, customers, suppliers, trucking companies and cross-functional internal teams, including site manager and operations manager to ensure the timely and successful delivery of SES offerings according to customer needs. The deputy logistic manager will also be responsible for monitoring the quality of operations as well as quality reporting and metrics.

Education Requirements: Bachelors (may substitute years of experience for education)
Responsibilities:
? Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services for the facility
? Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
? Arrange warehouse, plan routes and process shipments
? Resolve any arising problems or complaints related to transportation or warehouse issues
? Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
? Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
? Develop and maintain metrics and analyze data not only for shipping and transportation within the facility but for the operations quality program to assess performance and implement improvements across the program
? Works closely with Logistics Manager and Operations Site Manager for coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments across multiple facilities
? Coordinates activities with third party partners as needed
? Maintain and lead day to day activities related to staffing and schedule
? Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
? Develop and maintain metrics and analyze quality data for operations and implement improvements across the program
? Maintain and lead day to day activities related to quality staffing and schedule
? Collaborate with the upper management team to set quality benchmarks
? Execute reviews to check output adherences to the program standards
? Record quality findings and relay this information to the operations team
? Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
? Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions and services according to customer needs and objectives
? Clearly communicate the progress of daily, weekly, and monthly initiatives to the program manager
? Forecast and track key logistics metrics
