Our Corporate team is currently looking to immediately fill an Estimator (Javelin Software Designer) position with someone who possess knowledge on Building Material Products and has a great background in Sales & Product Estimation.
Design, Prepare, review, and distribute Engineered Wood Product for various customers and projects using Javelin Software.
Estimating
- Estimate quantities of material to be purchased.
- Keep open lines of communication with salesperson and customer.
- Uses expert judgment to interpret codes & standards, design processes, specifications, and drawings.
- Interpret scope of work statements, specifications, drawing conflicts, ambiguities, and uncertainties.
- Advises and collects information from other departments on any items pertinent to the development of complete estimates.
- Ensure estimates are completed within the required timeframe.
- Contact suppliers and vendors for current prices.
- Notify customer of discrepancies or error in plans.
- Visit job sites to gather information as required to perform estimates.
This position is Hybrid/Remote
Other duties may be assigned
The candidate applying for this position must also have experience in building relationships with vendors, account holders, and retail customers as well as possess a background in Javelin Software for Estimating and/or have at least 2-3 years of industry experience.
