The Service Excellence organization is responsible for leading the delivery of Aetna quality and compliance efforts, cross-functional reporting, and cultural transformation. The Associate Vice President of Clinical Services, Health Care Quality Management will be a critical leader in Service Excellence, responsible for driving strategic initiatives, managing operational planning and reporting, and successfully delivering strategic projects across the Service Excellence organization.
1. Oversees the implementation and ongoing execution of the Health Care Quality Management Program to support business, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
2. Ability to manage a team dedicated to delivering HEDIS reporting, clinical quality gaps in care, clinical intervention projects and pilots, and on-shore and off-shore vendor management.
3. Support the development, implementation, and measurement of Service Excellence priorities and initiatives across functions, ensuring alignment with department and enterprise strategy.
4. Lead the strategic execution for the HEDIS technology roadmap, driving performance through application of technology, data and analytics, leveraging a diverse team comprised of both business and technical resources.
5. Lead Health Equity strategy that will include but not be limited to aligning with the Enterprise and CESI Health Equity strategy, implement quality of care gap closure initiatives focused on improving health care disparity outcomes, and having the ability to write responses that speak to health equity, diversity and inclusion on RFP/RFI submissions or other business growth opportunities.
6. Provide oversight and support of functional staffing models, including evaluation of staffing requirements, establishing standard job descriptions and job aids, and promoting adoption of best practices.
7. Collaborates with executive leadership throughout the organization to develop and implement program strategies that meet business, regulatory and accreditation requirements. Typically manages multiple teams, managers, complex projects that impact multiple processes, systems, or functions, and manages relationships across the segments or multiple functional areas.
8. Has full accountability for all aspects of projects and or programs such as financial, regulatory, marketing, etc. Supports the business by recommending appropriate actions, strategies and/or alternatives to meet business needs.
9. Collaborate with finance and leads to identify, track, and report on budget performance, including identification and delivery of targeted savings opportunities.
10. Leads team of colleagues who manage all aspects of a project and or program such as planning, coordination, development, implementation including the financial implications while prioritizing work, resources and time. Ensures the end state of the project and/or business operations meets business objective(s) and that all deliverables and due dates are met.
