Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving three primary markets – passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment – Dana provides the world’s original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support plant HR strategy and action plans aligned with corporate, business and plant objectives and priorities
• Execute Human Resource functions (i.e., payroll processing, tracking attendance, executing daily, weekly and monthly reports to support operations group) with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure implementation of Dana/Facility policies and standardized processes.
• Ensure implementation of facility Health & Safety program
• Perform staffing functions
• Assist and facilitate employee development programs from Dana Organization Development & Learning Centers of Excellence
• Facilitate issue resolution between employees and managers, as required
• Perform employee and labor relations duties, including grievance procedures and contract implementation
• Work collaboratively with Lean initiatives to ensure success of continuous improvement
• Facilitate employee involvement programs
• Facilitate community service and involvement
• Ensure that Affirmative Action plans are in place and implemented: Participate in any OFCCP audits
• Coordinate facility(s)’s communication efforts (i.e., newsletters, plant meetings, etc)
• Ensure orientation and induction for newly hired employees and contractors is completed
• Perform internal investigations, prepare necessary documentation, and testify at hearings, as required
• Implement diversity strategy with the facility.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree is required,
• Flexible schedule and willing to work extra hours when necessary
• Payroll experience preferred
• 1-3 years of Human Resources experience preferred

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Must have excellent customer service attitude and people skills
• Exceptional time management and planning skills
• Must maintain a positive and professional attitude when dealing with people at all levels of the organization.
• Must be able to travel within the geographic area.
• Excellent MSOffice skills to include Excel, Word and Powerpoint
