Our ideal candidate would be someone with at least three years of experience in at least 2 HR functional areas. Healthcare and/or hospice industry experience is preferred, but not required. Experience with self-funded health insurance plans a plus.
Responsibilities include:
Promoting a positive relationship with internal clients, other team members, and vendors by ensuring friendly, accurate, and proactive customer service.
Actively engaging in ongoing cross-training to ensure seamless HR coverage at all times.
Attending internal and external career development and training opportunities to ensure your skills continue to grow.
Planning, coordinating and attending fun employee appreciation events; writing the monthly People Pillar newsletter.
Supporting the recruiting and hiring process from beginning to end; assisting the HR Generalist with preparing offers and communicating with internal partners.
Updating employee data in ADP; regularly collaborating with Payroll.
Maintaining digital employee files (in Dynafile) ensuring they are accurate and updated in a timely manner. (Limited paper filing.)
Assisting with benefits and worker’s compensation administration.
Partnering with the HR Generalist and HR Director on many ad hoc projects throughout the year.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
Minimum 3 years of HR generalist experience. Healthcare industry experience a plus.
Experience supporting a workforce of 250+ employees strongly preferred.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs,
Experience handling sensitive, confidential and proprietary information with discretion and tact.
Quick learner, with the ability to remain calm and prioritize, and good problem-solving skills.
Ability to pass a criminal background check, 10-panel toxicology screening, and pre-employment physical. Valid CA driver license required.
