As a People Operations manager, you will be responsible for implementing the administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs.
The ideal person for this role should be excited to come to DataGrail and drive operational and organizational excellence for all aspects of the employee lifecycle. They should have experience in working across a variety of People functional areas and a passion for learning those areas that they do not yet know. This person should be excited to have a large scope of responsibilities, and energized by finding solutions for challenging problems.
You will be joining us during a period of growth – where we are looking to expand. Reporting to our VP, People, you will help develop strategies, programs, and policies as it relates to People programs, systems, benefits, compensation, and total rewards across all the company. You will act as a partner and trusted adviser to all employees at DataGrail, and will be responsible for resolving employee relation issues, coaching and advising managers on handling such matters, and work diligently to prevent risk to the business. The Skill Set
Serve as a confidential partner and activist for all people at DataGrail including addressing questions regarding all thing related to People benefits and programs
Support the implementation of People programs, policies and initiatives
Assist in the maintenance and communication of People policies and procedures
Conduct research and analyzes data on assigned projects
Maintain records for reporting requirements
Support employee recognition programs and processes.
Manage the employee on-boarding process including initiating new hires into the system of record, communication with the employee, new hiring program sign up
Manage employee off-boarding process including gusto workflow, communication with employee, exit-survey/exit interviews and separation agreements.
Assist in developing People programs and initiatives, including supporting DataGrail’s Culture and Values.
Provide HR guidance and advice to line managers on HR policy and procedures, balancing needs with best practice
Serve as a trusted advisor to provide guidance on policy, organizational change, retention, engagement, development and performance
Provide accurate and timely reports to other departments
Create clear, meaningful insights off of company and/or employee data using advanced excel functions or other tools
Build relationships at all levels of the organization
Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload and meet deadlines
Create and manage the ongoing immigration processes and issues for all potential US employees on a visa
Implement programs that foster an inclusive culture alongside our Vice President of People
Leverage familiarity with local employment laws and HR best practices.
Within 60 Days, You’ll:
Have become fully familiar with all of our People Operations tools and current status
Lead the employee lifecycle processes including partnering with our talent acquisition team and leaders in the organization on onboarding and offboarding.
Partner with DataGrail’s Finance and Legal teams to support employees
Take ownership of our various internal systems to include: employee data in Gusto, Lattice, Salesforce, organizational charts, etc.
Provide critical month-end reports to payroll for all employees
Be a collaborative partner to help keep our culture strong. Create fun events to bring us together as a remote first company!
Within 180 Days, You’ll:
Develop processes to support our human resource practices
Onboard additional People systems (HRIS) to ensure robust people operations systems in support of our people.
Analyze and interpret various types of employee reports (e.g., compensation, job levels, and attrition) to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions to leaders
Develop and standardize DataGrail’s immigration process and supporting policies
Review and update performance management tools, templates, and systems
Support employee relations issues including disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as required
Support development, implementation and revision of personnel policies and procedures
Support the VP,People in the drafting and roll-out of new policies
Within 365 Days, You’ll:
Have developed processes and systems to support our growth
Participate in the onboarding of a DataGrail entity in a new country – including all HR related components (Employee Handbook, leave policy, etc.)
Lead the implementation and roll-out of a new HR-related tool to support DataGrail employees
Analyze existing compensation packages and help map out future comp across all functions; benchmark current benefits offerings and strategize for additional benefits as the company scale
