HR Assistant

Temp to Hire Opportunity!

$20.00-$25.00 per hour

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Columbus, Ohio (Onsite, but flexible schedules available!)

What you’ll be doing:

• Screening applications
• Creating requisitions
• Posting jobs
• Reviewing applications
• Manage day-to-day of temp program
• Calling potential job seekers to schedule interviews
• Interviewing and assisting with job offers
• General Typing
• Organizing personnel files
• Utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint (basic)
• Assist with setting up meetings/events
• Creating reports

Who we’re looking for:

• High level of organization
• Tech savvy: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HR database, internet
• Basic office equipment – printers, fax, etc.
• Excellent writing, spelling, grammar, proofreading
• Comfortable working with numbers, basic math
• Professional speaking/phone skills
• Any type of recruiting experience strongly desired
• Able to think on their feet, work independently and problem-solve (firefighting)
• Able to work with employees, supervisors, and, at times, senior management
• Willing to be a gopher when needed – order/pick up lunches for orientation, hang posters in multiple locations, hunt down people in the building, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Be comfortable and discreet in handling confidential information
• Very detail oriented
• HR experience and HR degree is great, but not required
• Able to efficiently utilize software (if the job seeker has experience using an ATS (applicant tracking system), that is preferred
• Ability to manage the production and warehouse temp program
• Professional demeanor, but able to have fun and not be too uptight. Our environment is professional, but casual and very fast-paced!
