JOB SUMMARY
Partners with leaders at all levels of the organization to provide support and consultation in the key disciplines of Human Resources. Focuses on providing excellent internal customer service, driving organizational change, supporting initiatives and programs that will drive the strategic direction of the HR function, and being a strong advocate for employees.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Consults with and advises management team on organizational planning, salary administration, staffing needs, employee benefits, and employee development, and other human resources services
Facilitates the Talent Management Process including workforce planning and strategic human capital planning, succession planning and developmental planning within client group; Drives leaders to focus on increasing top talent and differentiate development of employees
Functions as an internal consultant to leaders in achieving business goals; Guides management on organizational effectiveness, especially the alignment of processes, systems and people with minimal oversight
Advises, counsels, and guides management and employees in the proper use and interpretation of human resources policies, plans, and programs
Maintains, communicates, and administers HR objectives, policies, plans, programs, and procedures
Supports the implementation of leadership development programs
Works with centralized HR Support Services team to ensure all employee transitions (new hires, personnel change requests, etc.) are managed effectively
Participates in projects and special initiatives within and outside the HR function as assigned by the Area Human Resources Manager
Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a similar degree field and/or equivalent experience
A minimum of 2 years related experience is required although employees typically have 3-7 years; oil and gas industry experience preferred
Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization
Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
SPECIAL DEMANDS
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
Occasional travel may be required.
