JOB SUMMARY
Drives the development and execution of our people manager, leadership, and employee development programs, learning and content management, and career pathing to help foster a high performing culture that nurtures the professional, personal, and career growth of our employees.
Brings leading practice through research and thought leadership to all talent programs, including talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership and employee development. Partners with HR Business Partners, Operations Training lead, and Talent team to lead the development and delivery of scalable talent and learning programs across DCP. Collaborates with all levels of the organization and across functions to drive talent strategy and meet business objectives. This role reports to the Director, Talent Planning, and will work directly with our Inclusion & Diversity Lead, Talent Acquisition Manager, and Executive Leadership team.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Designs, develops, implements, and delivers talent development programs for the entire organization; understands and applies appropriate learning technologies to facilitate learning and development within the organization
Influences the talent development strategy and ensures alignment with the Company’s strategic plan and makes resource investment recommendations based on this alignment
Identifies emerging industry and technology trends for the next generation of learning and development and incorporates it into the development programs, and recommends changes to DCP’s existing programs as appropriate
Works independently and collaborates with the talent acquisition and talent management, HRBPs, Company leadership, and stakeholders to ensure that learning opportunities align with organizational objectives and are integrated with talent processes (e.g., talent review, succession, etc.).
Incorporates innovative and contemporary learning methodologies using cutting-edge technology (immersive learning paths, gamification, simulation, expert communities, cohort learning, e-learning, instructor led, etc.)
Creates and maintains curricula (course outlines, instructional presentations, training aids and assessments) for the talent development programs either by selecting vendor content or creating content as needed
Coordinates internal training events including, and not limited to selecting the venue, coordinating contracts, booking hotel rooms, coordinating travel options, scheduling conference rooms, having materials prepared, checking technical specifications, etc.
Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs and provides feedback to management and leadership
Maintains employees’ talent development records/certificates of completion
Identifies emerging industry and technology trends for the next generation of learning and development
Incorporates innovative and contemporary learning methodologies using cutting-edge technology (immersive learning paths, gamification, simulation, expert communities, cohort learning, etc.)
Works hand-in-hand with the HR team to ensure that learning opportunities align with organizational objectives and are integrated with talent processes (e.g., talent review, succession, etc.).
Ensures managers have tools and a process for examining capability / performance gaps and for closing those gaps. Provide support tools to aid managers and employees at the point of need, have the right tools, information, and capabilities to develop their people.
Selects and implements appropriate measurement and evaluation strategies, manage data collection, and interpret data to report to a variety of stakeholders. Have processes in place to use internal data, as well as business intelligence and insights, to make appropriate decisions.
Enables employee engagement through knowledge-sharing and collaboration, including implementing technology and processes for capturing and sharing intellectual capital across functions and locations
Leads talent development learning architecture, and/or its unique map of agreed-upon learning needs, learning strategies, and delivery strategies for all of its approaches to talent development
Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, or a similar degree field or equivalent experience
A minimum of 8 years related experience is required although employees typically have 10-12 years
Excellent group facilitation, presentation, consultation, and coaching skills
An understanding of what makes a good people manager effective
Strong critical thinking skills; adaptability to change; and analytical, strategic, collaborative, and project management skills
Strong relationship building and communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade your key customers
Self-directed, persistent, and goal oriented
Ability to see ambiguity as an opportunity, not an obstacle
Have strong project management experience
Have high attention to detail
Have an appreciation of and willingness to work using new technologies
Ability to apply your analytical skills to continuously improve and adjust programming based on feedback and data
Approximately 25% travel
SPECIAL DEMANDS
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
Occasional travel may be required.
SALARY
The salary is $91,200-$120,800.
