Supervise and direct the efforts of plant personnel to produce a consumer product of the highest quality in the most efficient, safe, sanitary, and economical means possible in accordance with Del Monte Foods, Inc. specifications and policies. Supervise and direct the activities of personnel to maintain, construct, and install equipment in assigned areas of responsibility. Evaluate and recommend capital expenditures to support continuous improvement of production line efficiencies within the assigned department. Execute the implementation of approved capital jobs on time and on budget. Direct Supervision of a department, as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Provides all employees prompt and efficient attention for all Human Resources inquiries. Thoroughly answers all employee inquiries and responds to all requests while employing an exceptional customer service demeanor.
Accurately tracks attendance to ensure timely enforcement of attendance policies. Generate Disciplinary Actions in accordance with Attendance Control Program.
Notifies supervisors in a timely manner of disciplinary actions that need to be reviewed and issued.
Tracks issuance of all Attendance related disciplinary action. Provides Area Human Resources Manager historical documentation as required in order to properly resolve Employee Grievances related to attendance disciplinary action.
Responds to all employee inquiries related to Attendance Point balances.
Responsible for all Daily Auditing of Crew Rosters/Exception Process
Processes all Vacation and Sabbatical/Transitional Sabbatical requests. Maintains accrual balances accordingly.
Provides Accounting with quarterly and ad hoc accrual liability calculations for sabbatical and vacation. Responds to all employee inquiries relates to vacation and sabbatical balances.
Establishes Holiday eligibility lists for payroll calculations in order to ensure proper tracking and accurate payments are submitted to payroll on a weekly basis for pay. Holiday Eligibility is determined as per CBA guidelines.
Tracks all employee leaves away from the company and submits payment details to payroll Jury Duty, Funeral Pay and Holiday Pay in a timely and error free manner.
Issue Statement research for Holiday Pay Complaints, Funeral Leave Pay Complaints, Jury Duty Pay Complaints.
Enters, tracks and processes all 401K loans and stop deductions. Process all 401K new enrolls (annually) and changes (quarterly) in a timely manner.
Assists with Seasonal Leave of Absence Tracking.
Responds to all Verification of Employment Requests. Reviews and completes all EDD claims forms and Benefit Audits and State Disabilities Insurance Benefits claims. Assists with all phone calls from EDD/CA-SDI representatives in regard to any employee and State Disability questions.
Serves as primary point of contact for Health and Safety Manager as it relates to inquiries regarding work history and pay, in an effort to effectively manage Total Temporary Disability Payments obligations under workers’ compensation requirements.
Assists with all Scheduling activities when necessary; including, calling for employees for work schedule, calling to advise of lay-off, rescheduling employees in response to Operational Manning changes.
Support HR Supervisor in all Leave Management activities to ensure regulatory compliance.
Maintains and updates all LOA and FMLA/CFRA spreadsheets and master file and mails all proper FMLA/CFRA paperwork.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Non-degreed candidates must have 4 years of directly related work experience
Effective communication skills
Strong PC-skills relating to spreadsheet, database, and word processing programs
