Position Responsibilities:
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records and documentation.
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits and hiring processes. Refer more complex questions to appropriate HR staff.
Provides customer service to employee staff by being the first point of contact for the human resources department.
Clerical duties can also include; preparing packets and information materials, sending and receiving professional correspondence, greeting visitors to the office , processing departmental mail and monitoring the Human Resources department calendars.
Creates and prints current and new employee ID badges.
Orders supplies for the Human Resources department and manages the purchase orders.
Assists with the planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization -wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties and retirement celebrations.
Process employment verifications
High school diploma or GED; additional education preferred
Minimum two (2) years work experience as an Assistant or in an HR department required
Computer experience required with proficiency in Word, Excel and Access.
Must have the ability to read, write and speak the English language
Must be tactful, diplomatic and possess the ability to communicate with individuals of all levels of the organization
Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of employee information and pertinent organization data at all times
The Human Resources Clerk is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department with employee hiring, administrative duties and clerical duties.
