Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, sort, and store incoming items, following appropriate procedures and safety guidelines
- Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that all items are accounted for
- Prepare materials for shipping, including packing, labeling, and organizing shipments for pickup or delivery
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform periodic cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy
- Assist with resolving any discrepancies or issues related to shipping, receiving, or inventory
- Utilize computer systems and software to track and manage inventory, shipments, and other logistics information
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Proficient in the use of computer systems and software (including MS Office and inventory management systems)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
