Staff Accountant – Hybrid
Position Overview
As a key member of the Finance and Accounting team, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for providing accounting services to the organization as whole, contributing towards the monthly financial reporting goals.
This role will work closely with the Finance team to provide support for internal customers such as the Operations and Account Management teams and will report to the Regional Controller.
This is a hybrid remote position – partial remote work is available, portion of role must be office-based
Responsibilities
- Preparation and posting of client billings
- Credit card reconciliations
- Aid in the day to day accounting functions including, but not limited to, month-end/year-end close process, general ledger entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and financial statement analysis
- Act as technical resource to other accounting staff and department managers
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Accounting with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Strong financial acumen along with problem identification, analytical and resolution skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivator with the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines
- Detail oriented and able to adopt a flexible, hands on approach in relation to the strategic direction of the company
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications
- Travel or service industry experience, including experience with Agresso, Central Command, Global Max, Globalware, Trams, Travcom and/or Global Matrix preferred
