The Human Resource Generalist will perform the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including assisting in the hiring process, onboarding, performance evaluations, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
Salary range: 60K – 75K + 10% annual bonus
Position Requirements:
Administer compensation, benefits, & leave; disciplinary matters; disputes, and investigations.
Assist with routine payroll processing, managing PTO, and working with the PEO as needed.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Conduct new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Recommend best practices and policies to maintain compliance.
Conduct background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure and aptitude exams, and certifications.
Continual learning of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Required Skills:
3+ years of experience working in HR, ideally in a high-growth tech environment, with a desire to grow in the field.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledgeable in HR best practices in a small to mid-sized company environment.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
ADP Workforce Now payroll experience or similar payroll software.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to deliver results.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate then when appropriate
SHRM-CP a plus.
