Disney Theatrical Group is seeking a highly organized individual to work as a Coordinator for the Director of Labor Relations and the LR team. This individual must be able to handle multiple administrative tasks and prioritize assignments. The Labor Relations Coordinator will assist with labor relations matters, gathering, collecting, and maintaining documents and records required for contract and policy development, investigations, and negotiations. The ability to execute sound judgment, handle situations with discretion, confidentiality, and integrity, while promoting excellence is essential for this role. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude with an ability to be proactive, resourceful and flexible.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support, including scheduling and coordinating meetings/travel, drafting of correspondences, and preparing expense reports for Labor Relations director.
Handle routine labor relations inquiries related to policies, procedures, and bargaining agreements; refers complex matters to appropriate management staff.
Serve as the initial contact and liaison for intake of union grievances.
Collect information and data to assess cost and policy implications of negotiations and disputes. This may include management and union proposals, pay scales and wages, benefits, working conditions, and other mitigating circumstances.
Conduct surveys, interviews, and other research related to labor negotiations; collects information and reports results to Labor Relations Director.
Assist with preparation of plans, policies, documents, and reports including labor agreements and employee handbooks.
Assist with preparation of documents and records required for contract negotiations, meetings, and negotiations with employee and labor organizations.
Take notes at labor negotiations, caucuses, and other meetings.
Maintain up-to date-records of all labor contracts and MOAs
Scan and file electronic and physical files, both personnel and departmental; input data and maintain electronic databases and archiving of physical files.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
1-3 years of Labor, Legal, Human Resources, or relevant experience
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

The hiring range for this position in New York, New York is $ 54,940 to $73,700 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
