Job Summary
DSR is in search of a PHP Developer/Programmer to create and maintain software, in-house hardware and network systems. This position will be key in designing, installing, testing, and maintaining software systems at DSR. The programs created in-house will help our business be more efficient and provide better service to our business and clients. This position is primarily focused with PHP Development.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement new software programs
- Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
- Design and update software database.
- Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization
- Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues
- Work well with team members
- Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
- Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges
- Compile timely, comprehensive and accurate documentation and/or reports as requested
- Possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Reliable and dependable
- Multi-tasks and change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
Qualifications / Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Development, Associates, technical training certification, developer bootcamp preferred, or equivalent work experience in development. HS Diploma/GED required.
- 1-5 years’ experience of web application development.
- PHP (5 and 7+) and MySQL exposure
- Laravel or Symphony a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Git
- Example open source contributions
- Web Service Implementation or Consumption a strong plus borderline requirement.
- Moderate experience with front-end technologies. HTML, CSS, Javascript
- Example opensource contributions or private project examples.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to communicate with individuals in both a technical and non-technical capacity
- Proficiency in English language (reading, writing, verbal)
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively to work on projects simultaneously
- Ability to work both independently and with others in an open space environment, sedentary environment
- Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to use good judgment and decision-making skills
Preferred Skill Requirements
· Skilled at creating technical documentation.
· Skilled at creating customer focused documentation.
