DNV Energy Systems is seeking a dynamic and somewhat experienced HR Generalist for North America, reporting directly to the Regional People Manager. Working alongside other seasoned HR, QHSE experts, the HR Generalist will be responsible for streamlining processes and problem solving. This position is responsible for assisting with human resource initiatives designed to drive continuous improvement of HR and business performance metrics. Overall, the HR Generalist is responsible for providing day-to-day HR functional support. This position will preferably be based in one of the following DNV Energy office locations: Chalfont, PA; Katy, TX; Medford, MA, Oakland, CA, Oak Brook, IL. Quebec, Canada or Toronto, Canada. Other DNV office locations, and/or remote (home) office locations within the continental United States and Canada, may be considered.
What You’ll Do
Consult with managers on engagement, MIPs, feedback, recognition, change and training
Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management in adherence to DNV standards
Respond to human resources-related inquires including coaching, advisement, and personnel issues
Facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings; ensuring postings are gender neutral and advise on posting process.
Create and implement onboarding plans that educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
Create analytics and reports to drive data-based decisions
Analyze and manage monthly reports using HRIS data for HR Business Partners
Ensure and quality check changes for reorgs and employees are accurate and align with naming/process scheme
Position Qualifications:
What is Required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required
At least two years of human resource experience;Two to five years preferred
SHRM-CP and PHR a plus
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management software

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act and New York City Salary Transparency Law, DNV provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado or New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado and New York City, NY only, the range of starting pay for this role is $50,000 – $85,000.
