SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Answers main HR department phone line
· Maintains and organizes HR Email Inbox
· Sends out all approved Company/HR Communications
· Maintains Employee Directory
· Maintains Company Org Chart
· Facilitates employment applicant tracking process in ADP
· Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance
· Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures
· Assists with employee onboarding
· Facilitates completion of employee new hire paperwork
· Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions
· Work on moving all hard copy personnel files to an electronic file system (TBD)
· Prepares job postings
· Maintains the current and termed I-9 files
· Responds to all reference checks and verifications of employment status
· Responsible for ordering, managing and maintaining employee shirts for all new and current employees
· Assists the HR Director and HR Generalists with HR projects
· Assists with benefits administration
· Pulls data or reports from all HR systems such as ADP
· Mass mail merge/mailings
· All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· 3+ years of related experience preferred
· Understanding of HR laws such as EEO/AA, ERISA, ADA, etc. preferred, but not required
· Knowledge of HR best practice strategies and policies preferred, but not required

· In-depth knowledge of Human Resources, Regulatory and legal principles and practices
· Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, and presentation skill
· Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. Vision abilities required by the job are close vision. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle, feel, and operate office equipment such as a computer, copier, and office supplies.
