EATON ACADEMY Hiring for STEM Teacher Job at Eastpointe, MI Full Time

Eaton Academy is seeking innovative educator with excellent interpersonal skills for the role of STEM/STEAM teacher. The STEM/STEAM teacher will be responsible for developing learning activities and hands-on material, tending to individual student needs, and communicating regularly with parents.

To ensure the success of our students, STEM/STEAM candidates should demonstrate the ability to model, deliver, and craft rich student-centered learning experiences around Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math , demonstrate empathy, and have good written and verbal communication skills. This position is also responsible for collaborating with teachers in promoting interdisciplinary STEM/STEAM activities into the core curriculum. Ultimately, a top-notch STEM/STEAM teacher will have excellent classroom management abilities and engage students with the subject matter

Eaton Academy’s STEM/STEAM Teacher Shall:

• Deliver STEM-oriented instruction through project-based learning methods.
• Involve instruction directly related to STEAM and computer science in our Innovation/Maker Lab
• Attend professional development and training related to STEM programs and methodologies, staying abreast of current research.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques, instructional media, and performance assessments, which guide the learning process toward curriculum goals and student learning.
• Use technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration.
• Work directly with school administrators and staff in the development, implementation, and evaluation of STEM initiatives and curriculum.
• Organize, develop, and coordinate special STEM events/activities.
• Coach teachers on STEM initiatives and instructional best practices in the STEM areas.
• Contribute to a harmonious school atmosphere by working cooperatively with all colleagues.
• Demonstrate responsibility and punctuality.
• Display flexibility in responding to new situations and expectations, a positive attitude, and a helpful, nonjudgmental demeanor.
• Follow Eaton Academy’s job responsibilities for all teachers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
