Job Title: HR Generalist Americas (Payroll Specialist)

Reports to: GlobalDirector of HR

JOB SUMMARY
The HR Generalist/Payroll Specialist has primary responsibility for all day-to-day HR matters related to assisting and advising team members on benefits, employee engagement, learning and development and is a consultative partner with the HR team and onsite leadership. In addition to the multitude of HR matters that may arise this person is also the primary responsible person for processing payroll for approximately 300 Americas team members on a bi-weekly basis. This includes processing, reporting, reconciliation, audit support, payroll changes, timecard management, and all other tasks related to the payroll and benefit functions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
Human Resources (Approx. 70%)
· Oversee the execution of all day-to-day HR operations for assigned worksite
· Partner with leaders for assigned departments to develop tailored workforce plans
· Manage employee relations issues, including handling of sensitive cases
· Leads the Affirmative Action process for assigned worksites
· Partner with HR Team on organizational development initiatives
· Provide critical business intelligence and recommendations to leaders for program development
· Coach managers through the annual review process and new program roll-out
· Oversee HR services delivery across the organization to drive a high-quality team member experience
· Adheres to all legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the HR function (e.g., AAP, ACA, OFCCP, ERISA, EEO, OSHA, and Wage & Hour).
· Recruiting and talent acquisition activities
· Lead in all hiring, employee relations, and termination functions for assigned worksite
Payroll (Approx. 30%)
· Maintains knowledge about payroll and multi-state employment laws and general human resource concepts.
· Processes bi-weekly payroll for the Americas locations
· Processes all payroll changes such as pay changes, benefits premiums, 401k deferrals, W4 changes, etc. for assigned worksite
· Manages timecards by reviewing and communicating with supervisors regarding anomalies including tracking protected leave
· Supports audits and other requests for payroll information and ad-hoc reporting
· Creates payroll reports for accounting and HR such as 401k, HSA, FSA, etc.
· Supports Team Members and Leaders with payroll questions
· Manages monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll activities such as budget reports, merit increases, bonuses, payroll calendar, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
· 3+ years payroll and/or finance role
· 3+ years Human Resources Generalist experience
· Provides excellent support to all internal customers at all levels of the organization.
· Manage multiple projects from end to end
· Self-starter, strong sense of ownership, gets things done.
· Fun, positive, upbeat attitude. Great communication skills and a healthy desire for collaboration.
· Computer savvy: Intermediate level experience with Microsoft products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Hands-on experience with one or more HRIS system setup and day-to-day data management

Desired
· Experience working as a solo HR Generalist in a location is a plus
· PHR Certificationis a plus
· Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
· Experience in Workday is a plus
