Job Summary:
The Human Resource Specialist will facilitate and improve communication among employees, the Human Resource department, leadership, throughout the three businesses (Vegas, AU & Australia) to ensure all employees are kept up to date with the organization’s mission, objectives, policies, events and recruiting efforts.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Serves as the liaison and spokesperson for human resource, the leadership team, contacts at each division and the recruitment function. The position will provide collaborative guidance and advice on integrated communication strategies to build employee morale, productivity, retention, and policy compliance.
Takes the lead in the research, development, drafting, publication, and distribution of the employee communication, conducts informational meetings, training sessions, and other communication forums to explain and discuss human resource policies.
Communicates initiatives and deadlines to employees in a variety of print, digital, and interpersonal ways; tasks may include creating and publishing company newsletters, calendars, blogs and Intranet posts, and hosting meetings.
Responsible for the internal Share Point site continuing to build out, make accessible, relevant for all employees, all divisions and up to date.
Drafts and distributes company announcement and reference materials, such as open enrollment materials, goal and performance review initiatives, and summaries of perks and benefits.
Implements, conducts, facilitates, and/or analyzes results of employee morale and retention initiatives such as incentive programs, stay interviews, career development meetings, employee surveys, and exit interviews.
Provides guidance and coaching to managers, supervisors, senior leaders, and the HR department on communication strategies; assists with challenges such as low morale, high turnover, absenteeism, layoffs, and other difficult conversations.
Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in employee retention, morale, recognition, productivity, and incentives.
Collaborates with safety, health, and environmental managers to coordinate the company’s responses to citations, mass layoffs, expected press inquiries, or community relations matters.
Promotes and attends special events and functions; promotes and reports on corporate milestones and activities such as company goals and projects; new products or services; community service activities; and new hires, promotions, and retirements.
Arranges for photography and/or press coverage for special events.
Responsible for all HR special projects, liasoning with various departments such as IT, AGT’s Special Project Manager, marketing and sales.
Assists with automating the HR function globally.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Associates degree ideally in Human Resources, Communications, Journalism, or related field required.
Prior experience in a communication role required with coaching, counseling, or leadership experience highly desired.
Prior experience in project management.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 – $58,000.00 per year
