About the opportunity

The IT Engineering team are looking for an exceptional Desktop Engineer in our Lake Mary (FL) office to work on and support hardware and software issues being experienced by our internal users. The ideal candidate will add value by owning and managing problems and resolving these. Reporting to the IT Director you will be critical to the success of the team.

• Providing IT hardware and software support across the Ellucian organization.
• Taking on and resolving “Tier 2” requests and Incidents.
• Being a team leader in support of Ellucian customers and call resolution.
• Proven experience working with executives (supporting meetings/technical needs)
• Responsible for providing excellent support and timely service.
• Providing excellent customer service with a professional manner and excellent communication skills.
• Responsible for learning and working independently.
• Identify possible process improvements through automation and the use of technology.

What you will bring

• Experience of PC imaging, configuration, troubleshooting, and support (across Windows 8, 8.1, 10, OSX).
• Supporting Outlook, MS Office 365, PC Encryption software, Printers, PCs, Mac, Mobile Devices and other IT-supported devices, including repair and maintenance across all Ellucian specific applications.
• Experience working with cloud technologies (Box, Zoom, and Office365).
• Remote user support including – VPN installation and configuration.
• Proven experience on ticket management (updates/SLA’s/closure).
• Testing new releases of software, Operating Systems, hardware, and peripherals.
• Knowledge of PC support tools (i.e., BigFix, OSD, TeamViewer, and TEM).
• Take ownership for resolving complex calls or tasks
• Working knowledge of Audio Visual and Video teleconferencing
