Ellumen, named a 2022 Top Workplace by the Washington Post, is a small business headquartered in Silver Spring, MD. We provide a broad spectrum of information technology and ancillary services to government and commercial customers primarily within the healthcare delivery domain. We seek an electronic health record (EHR) Health Informaticist/Data Analyst to assist with ensuring the successful execution of the sustainment of the Military Health Systems’ Genesis EHR (based on Cerner Millennium) software to the applicable treatment facilities. The position is located at U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters Building, in Washington DC.

Required tasks:
- Request Training Domain Accounts for end users, manage JKO accounts, load Computer Based Training (CBT) for end users.
- Provide support establishing and defining the Coast Guard health informatics overarching program, scope and standard operating procedures.
- Engage and assess all existing and planned DHA health informatics reports and tools, establish strategy for USCG integration and use, and provide assistance with development of associated service agreements.
- Provide support for day-to-day execution of health informatics reports and data queries in support of planned and/or emergent enterprise data needs.
- Provide documentation review, analysis and update assistance in support of the following documents and additional associated support artifacts:
- Develop and update Health Informatics Program Plan
- Develop and update Health Informatics Data Analytics Implementation Plan
- Up to 20% travel may be required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics or work experience equivalent to bachelor’s degree.
- Three years of experience supporting healthcare initiatives and projects
- Extensive EHR platform experience in platform such as Cerner Millennium or Epic, preferably in the military setting
- Knowledge of EHR Workflows
- Knowledge of EHR Revenue Cycle
- US Citizen with pubic trust clearance
- Knowledge of business processes and information management needs of medical organizations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Desired Qualifications:
- Three years of experience working in the military healthcare environment
- Understanding of the unique informatics architecture of the military
- Understanding of large application, database, and queries
- Clinical degree (i.e. RN or LPN) is a plus.
