As a Human Resource Manager, You Will:
Provide support to the management team related to the business unit strategic plans. Reports to the Lebanon Plant Manager and is considered a staff member leading the Lebanon location.
Lead employee relations across all Lebanon locations plant and warehouse. Responsible for resolving internal disputes, conducting investigations, coaching managers, making recommendations, and taking actions that address root cause of issues.
Coordinate with the Lebanon recruiting team to find the best candidates for our location both salaried and hourly. To include new employee orientation and onboarding processes. Keeps records of hired employee characteristics for governmental reporting purposes.
Collaborate with the Sidney salaried team on the Salaried Wage package and oversee the Hourly Wage program.
Lead all aspects of corporate programs such as Emerson Ethics, Communication Plan, and Record Retention, etc…
Ensure timely response to any EEOC charges, Ethics Hotline Calls, and any other topics that may arise working with the Emerson St. Louis Labor Law team.
Direct reports include Employee Relations Manager and HR Generalist leading recruiting. In addition, a part-time training/grant coordinator reports to this role. Our third-party nurses also report to this position.
Oversee the Worker’s Compensation for the Lebanon plant. Collaborating with the third-party administrator and our outside attorney. Maintains OSHA 200 log utilizing our internal nursing team.
Responsible for overall benefit administration/implementation for medical, dental, vision, short/long term disability, life insurance, flex/health spending accounts, tuition reimbursement, pension, and 401K programs. Working with other Emerson locations and third-party administrators for all programs as needed.
Collaborates with the Employee Relations Manager on recognition programs to include Rock Star, Vitality, and Energize programs as well as monthly Birthday Roundtables and quarterly Service Award programs.
Develops department operating budget and monitors performance. Takes correct action(s) to ensure budgets are met within acceptable limits.
Develops and maintains department organization to ensure adequate resources are assigned to ensure plant goals and objectives are met.
Identifies training and development needs of subordinates and develops plans and recommendations.
Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as the cafeteria and outside recognition events like Company Picnic, Shirt program, and Holiday events.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of multifaceted HR experience, including experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or service setting.
Ability to supervise and develop direct reports.
Solid knowledge of employment law, with the ability to analyze and interpret legal documents, government regulations, EEOC Charges, etc.
Ability to travel as needed to other plants for best practices/collaboration and training.

Facility Schedule
The facility works both a 4-day work week and a 5-day work week, depending on the assignment. Most jobs provide service and support to a specific shift, although some jobs provide support across both shifts. Our shifts schedules are:
First Machining
4:45 AM to 3:15 PM
Second Machining
3:15 PM to 1:45 AM
First Assembly
6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Second Assembly
5:00 PM to 3:30 AM
Support Personnel: This position is a 1st shift role. Our teams work together to ensure their chosen work schedules are supporting our customers. These jobs typically work a 5-day work week.

About our Location
Our plant in Lebanon, MO is Emerson’s flagship operation for scroll compressor assembly and a machining powerhouse for main bearing housings and scroll elements. With over 60 million scroll compressors produced in the past 27 years. Our plant runs 22 hours a day with 749 full time hourly workers and 249 part time workers. We also have approximately 100 full time salaried employees.
