ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior HR Generalist at Churchome will help our organization grow by focusing on ways we can better support the needs of our organization and the people who make it possible. They will be responsible to develop and scale policies and processes as well as direct human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, benefits, training, and employee services.
The Senior HR Generalist is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources leadership and support. An advocate for staff morale and a driver for maximizing employee performance and a healthy staff culture, this service-oriented personality is critical in enabling us to tell the story of Jesus to the world. The role reports to our Chief Operating Officer.
The Senior HR Generalist will lead the organization in its employee initiatives, based on the goal to be the best at telling the story of Jesus to the world, by performing the following responsibilities personally or through direct reports and their teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Relations
Lead and support the recruitment to retainment processes for all candidates and hired employees.
Support all team members throughout their career at Churchome
Creates programs that help employees thrive in their personal and professional lives
Plays an essential role advancing a more diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible staff through hiring, retention, and inclusion practices
Lead and support in the implementation of culture, engagement, and wellness initiatives
Equips Managers
Strategize, design, and implement, the processes for the delivery and management of people policies, procedures, programs, and benefits programs
Organizational Development
Prepares and leads HR strategic planning and implementation of that strategy.
Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan.
Prepares personnel forecast to project employment needs.
Writes and delivers presentations to the Executive Team regarding human resources policies and practices.
Compliance & HR Progression
Works with our PEO and oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
Manages the relationship with our PEO (Insperity)
Oversees the payroll process, all new hires, terminations, employee changes, and deductions in the payroll system. Identify and resolve issues.
Churchome may also assign other duties or responsibilities, in its sole discretion.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
8+ years of experience in HR.
Experience leading project management and change management.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates empathy and experience driving inclusion.
Strong business acumen to translate the needs of the organization into HR solutions.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Team player with a faith-filled attitude who is forward focused.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Human Resource Management or a related field.
