The purpose of the HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST/ASSOCIATE RELATIONS SPECIALIST is to assist the Corporate HR Department in the overall management and administration of the human resources function, Also provides guidance, counsel and appropriate assistance to HR Business Partners, managers and team members on a variety of team member relations matters, policies, practices and procedures. Responsible for ensuring that the culture is reinforced and that team member needs and business needs are considered when recommending solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment – handle job postings, updating career opportunities; screening resumes and candidates; scheduling interviews with leaders and department heads; conducting reference extending offer to all final candidates for corporate and EC roles at hotel level
Interview and assess candidates based on needs defined by department hiring managers.
Attend recruitment functions such as job fairs, career days, and other events to source candidates.
Handle administration of online new hire process, paperwork, and onboarding new corporate office team members
Address and respond to team member inquiries and advise manager as needed
Assist with transitions and dispositions as needed
Travel may be 10% based on hotel needs, open seats, and acquisitions
Assist with employee relations issues, involving corporate human resources when necessary.
Advise department managers on employee matters, including disciplinary actions and performance evaluations.
Place employment ads on various websites and social media platforms
Respond to reviews and posts on social media.
Manage compliance for I9, EPL
Update Communication bulletin board
This position has a dotted line responsibility to the Vice President of Human Resources.
Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to write reports and correspondence.
Must be able to keep information confidential.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Proficient in HRI systems, time keeping system.
Proficient at MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
PHR certification preferred.
