Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
Demonstrate basic knowledge of employment laws, including but not limited to, Title VII, ADAA, FMLA, FLSA, and EEOC regulations to maintain compliance with local, state and federal laws
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to employees and managers
Process, verify and maintain employee related documentation in the HRIS system
Audit HRIS for data purity, compliance, and adherence to policies
Prepare and distribute weekly metrics to HR Director
Facilitate new hire orientation
Manage employee recognition programs
Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, leaves of absence, corrective action, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, employee engagement and productivity
Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations and recommended best practices
Review and make recommendations to existing policies and practices to maintain best practices and ensure compliance
Assist employees with general benefit inquiries
Assist with facilitating Annual Benefit Enrollment
Support the HR team with human resources projects and initiatives

Experience and Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or University (Human Resources or Business preferred)
5 plus years of Human Resources experience with an emphasis on employee relations or an equivalent combination of education and experience
SHRM-CP, PHR a plus
Working knowledge of core human resources disciplines with emphasis on administration, corrective action, performance management and employee relations and their application in a variety of business settings
Proficient in interpreting and applying the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) with all levels of management
Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Excellent organization, prioritization skills and the ability to multitask
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Demonstrated ability and previous experience maintaining strict confidentially
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
