A “day in the life” of LabView Programmer/Developer:
Develop LabView applications for industrial automation and test systems consisting of a user interface, control and data acquisition.
Diagnose and update/modify existing LabView programs for customers.
Develop customized industrial applications to achieve customer’s desired results with a focus on National Instruments LabView applications.
Assist with final commissioning on-site at customer location or using remote access.
Consult with customers, vendors, application engineers, and production to determine optimum project implementation.
Develop and document recommended course of action for the project.
Maintain proactive, customer-centric approach when interacting with customer, including status of project, scope of the project and questions.
Requirements:
Education in automation technology, instrumentation/test, computer science, computer engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of one year programming experience with LabView software.
Experience in integrating National Instruments hardware.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% ranging from mostly in-state to occasional international travel.
Preferred Requirements
Experience with hardware design of automation and test systems using National Instruments hardware and other instrumentation devices.
Experience with National Instruments TestStand software.
