Position Purpose:
The Director of Talent Acquisition (TA) will strategically manage the ERS talent acquisition process and serve as a resource to organizational leaders to achieve and maintain optimal staffing goals, hiring and retention strategies, and cultural alignment. The position will support and promote ERS as an employer of choice in the region. The Director of Talent Acquisition provides leadership to support hiring needs for the various processes in the organization: Continuum of Care Retirement Communities (CCRC), Affordable Living, Community Based Services, and the ERS Business Support Office. Â

Essential Functions/Accountabilities:

Ongoing Ensures strategic alignment to ERS†s goals, gaining an understanding of the local and regional labor markets. Promotes ERS as a Top Workplace and employer of choice and secures top talent for our organization.Â
Ongoing  Demonstrates an understanding of various workforce segments and positions within ERS, as well as the skills, competencies (culturally and clinically), and experiences necessary for success. Advises hiring managers regarding position qualifications, job description content, and a culturally aligned selection process for new and recently vacated positions.
Ongoing Manages and provides leadership to talent acquisition team members. Ensures that TA team members provide excellent customer service to hiring managers, candidates, and staff. Provides direction, goal setting, feedback, and development opportunities to TA team members. Â
Ongoing Travel to ERS regional locations on a regular basis to provide HR and TA support.
Ongoing Creatively uses strategic digital media recruitment efforts to engage active and passive candidates. Manages talent acquisition communication, ie content for digital media, collateral materials, advertising, and internal communication. Â
Ongoing Works in partnership with the ERS Marketing team, to strengthen ERS†employment brand by creating and promoting activities that illustrate, articulate, and define ERS†s image, organizational culture, key differentiators, reputation, products, and services. Â
Ongoing  Fosters a strong community presence by developing external relationships with community partners (associations, schools, and businesses) to position ERS as an Aging Services industry expert and employer of choice while increasing our talent sourcing opportunities. Â
Ongoing Develops and executes strategies to promote the diversity of the ERS workforce; promotes inclusion in line with ERS Values. Develops and executes diversity recruiting-focused strategies
Ongoing Manages TA budget. Â
Ongoing As a member of the HR team, demonstrates an understanding of critical HR matters and supports organizational initiatives and change, acting as a key driver for culture change, compliance, and customer services.Â
Ongoing Provides coaching and advice to ERS leaders regarding best practices for talent acquisition, pre-employment assessments, employee relations, and performance management.
Ongoing Demonstrates expertise with the Applicant Tracking System(ATS); to include data analytics gathering and review, responding to questions regarding the ATS, training new leaders, and advising others as needed. Ensures that records in the HRIS/payroll system and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) are up-to-date and accurate.  Â
Ongoing  Responsible for the collection and analysis of talent acquisition metrics; analyses data to report on themes and patterns; provides critical review and recommendations to VP of HR, Servant Leadership team, and HR team; ensures that weekly TA reporting is complete and communicated to both leaders and all staff; provides TA metrics and narrative for Board of Director reporting throughout the year.
Ongoing Identifies and understands the audiences in which we source for specific roles. Conducts various sourcing strategies based on the understanding of the jobs and location of target audiences.Â
Ongoing Manages and promotes the ERS EARN More staff referral program; leverages the program to ensure awareness of the program by team members; track and measure impact; demonstrate gratitude in a timely and meaningful way to team members.
Ongoing Supports hiring as a backup to Talent Acquisition team as needed, including, but not limited to high volume recruitment support or emergency staffing plans.
Ongoing Builds a positive candidate experience and communication process, including overseeing communication with unsuccessful candidates when appropriate.
Ongoing Demonstrates behaviors that are in alignment with expectations as described in the ERS Values, Ways of Working, and ERS strategic leadership competency.
Ongoing Actively seeks to build relationships with ERS staff and residents.
Ongoing Provides learning, guidance, and resources for ERS managers to grow in their knowledge and practice of selecting and onboarding talent successfully.
Ongoing Collaborates with other members of the HR team to review compensation data and provide compensation recommendations based on internal and external salary data.
